Unit 4- Development of Human Behaviour


Human Development or 'Developmental Psychology' looks at the various stages of Psychological changes which occur as individuals grow from Infancy to Puberty to Adulthood and then Old age. We look at Huam Development at 'Physiological', 'Social' (Theory by Bandura), and Cognitive (Piaget and Vygotsky), levels. Apart from this we look at the role of Genes and Environment in the unfolding of behavioural traits. From the exam perspective, it is crucial that the student is able to critically evaluate the various theories which have been given by various Developmental Psychologists.
